Day 2 Biking in the Dolimites!

Vero & Fede give us instructions for the day.

Jerry & Diane Nebbia ready for the challenge with their E-bikes!

 Two bikes & two people ride the gondola to the top of Mont Seuc

Shared spinach, parmasean, cheese dumplings in butter. Not pictured is wiener schnitzel. 

Outdoor lunch at Ritsch Hotel in the heart of Alpe di Siusi. 

We biked back to the hotel. We rode through pavement, gravel & ROCKS! Some of it was tough going. But the ELECTRIC bike on TURBO helped! Down hill braking gave us hand/arm cramps!


BackRoads is also known as "SNACK ROADS!"

Fede give us biking & routing instructions. She is really beautiful!

The Alpenroyal Hotel is in the heart of the Dolimites. It is a 5 star, traditional, authentic alpine hotel. The pool is warm (I even got in it!) with built in jets and has a circular lazy river.

This gal wears these shin guards to protect her skin. I think dad could use some for his forearms when he is picking grapes! No more blood patches!

Wine tasting with Ciasa Vedia of La Perla!

Old fashioned bike at the entrance of our hotel, La Perla. The owner & his daughter share some background on his grandparents that built the hotel. We toured their home behind La Perla and took a tour of the home. This grandfather helped build the first ski lift in 1946. This is the variety of wine I like...Lagrein. It is heavy like a cabernet.  The wine maker's fingerprint.
